About Me
It is my honor and life purpose to work with individuals struggling from the aftermath of trauma, who have anxiety, or depression, and who need reminders of who they are inherently. My primary focus is to help individuals find what attachments they are still holding on to that need to be let go of or revised in order to heal. It is possible to regain your power after a codependent relationship and learn to embody yourself after trauma.
I believe we are all inherently worthy of love and acceptance. Please allow me to make the space to support you on your healing journey.
You are in control!
Dr. Czarina Azzam (she/her)
The majority of my career prior to private practice was spent serving incarcerated individuals in a role in which I specialized in treating trauma, psychosis, and co-occurring Substance Use Disorders.
I cherish the brave and collaborative process of therapy; let us see what unfolds together.
My training, specialization, and passion are devoted to the transformative work of promoting resilience from traumatic experiences. Currently a licensed clinical psychologist in Houston, TX, I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University where my research and community work focused on promoting self-compassion and self-efficacy in all socioeconomic populations. I participated in an APA-accredited internship in Forensic Psychology at the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health and a specialized post-doctoral fellowship in PTSD and dissociation. My dedication to trauma work began before my graduate studies when I sought to understand my own childhood experiences and grow from them.
